2024-08-15 → 2026-09-29 · net of fees, slippage, and funding · one engine, one window, one cost model for every strategy, with no cherry-picking.

The return column reflects each strategy’s own position sizing (some hold only a small slice of one coin), so Sharpe, which isn’t affected by leverage, is the fair way to rank them. 3 strategies that rank coins against each other (like funding carry and momentum ranking) can't run on a single asset, so they're left out.

Start from the best XRP strategy: Confluence

Confluence cleared the bar on XRP alone (Sharpe 1.37). The library version trades a basket of coins. To run it on XRP alone, fork it and pick XRP as its only coin.

At $1,000, Confluence's worst historical dip on XRP alone was about $78. Free account, your own keys. Keel only places the trades.

XRP buy Monday, sell Thursday: how the strategy works

The XRP buy Monday, sell Thursday strategy is a calendar rule: buy at the Monday open, sell at the Thursday close and stay out from Friday to Sunday, every week. It bets that XRP tends to rise early in the week and drift over the weekend.

Traders read the open and the close in two ways. In crypto the daily candle opens at 00:00 UTC, so the Monday open is midnight UTC and the position is held to midnight UTC on Thursday. Many people mean US market hours instead: buy at 09:30 New York time on Monday and sell at 16:00 New York time on Thursday. The two readings hold the position for different hours and can give very different results, so decide which one you mean before you test it.

Day and time filters are coming soon to Keel: rules like enter only on chosen days, exit only on chosen days, or hold only between set times, in UTC or New York time. Until they ship we haven't published a backtest of this rule.

If you test a calendar rule like this somewhere else, read the result net of fees and funding, since a perp position held from Monday to Thursday pays or earns funding every hour. Then look at each year on its own and at the worst drop, not just the total.

Confluence, Supertrend Bollinger and ADX Trend lead the rules that cleared our bar on XRP. Each one is on this page with its full result, and you can fork it and backtest it on XRP with the same costs.

XRP trading bot on Hyperliquid

Any strategy on this page can be your XRP trading bot, running on your own Hyperliquid account with no code. The ones that cleared our bar on XRP are the place to start, led by Confluence, Supertrend Bollinger and ADX Trend. We tested each one on XRP alone, while the library versions trade a basket of coins, so fork one, pick XRP as its only coin and backtest it again before you start it.

Paper trade it first on live prices, which needs no wallet. When you go live, Keel trades from your own Hyperliquid account through an agent wallet that can place trades but can never withdraw, so your money stays in your account, and you can pause the bot or revoke its access at any time.

XRP indicators today

The XRP indicator dashboard shows today's daily RSI, MACD, moving averages, volatility and Hyperliquid funding for XRP, updated once a day. Check where XRP stands now, then test a rule on it with the strategies above.

What this is: a single-asset backtest of 12 systematic strategies on XRP, on real Hyperliquid data, net of fees, slippage and funding. A high Sharpe on a low trade count is a small sample, not a promise. Where nothing clears the bar, we say so. Past performance does not predict future results, and this is not investment advice.

XRP strategy FAQ

What is the best trading strategy for XRP?

The best XRP trading strategy in our backtests is Confluence. Tested on XRP alone from 2024-08-15 to 2026-09-29, it earned a Sharpe of 1.37 over 60 trades, net of fees, slippage and funding. 4 of the 12 strategies we ran on XRP cleared our bar of Sharpe 1.0. Each can run as a trading bot on your own Hyperliquid account: the library versions trade a basket of coins, so fork one and pick XRP as its only coin to run it on XRP alone.

How were these XRP strategies tested?

Each strategy was backtested on XRP alone, using its own position sizing, from 2024-08-15 to 2026-09-29, net of fees, slippage and funding, on the same engine Keel uses to trade live. We rank by Sharpe, which isn't affected by leverage. The return column reflects each strategy's built-in sizing, so a cautious strategy can look smaller than a full-size position would.

Do any XRP strategies actually beat buy-and-hold?

4 of 12 tested strategies cleared our Sharpe 1.0 bar on XRP. The leaderboard shows each one's Sharpe, return, drawdown and trade count so you can judge risk-adjusted performance, not just headline return.

Can I run an XRP trading bot on Hyperliquid?

Yes. Confluence and the other strategies on this page can run as a bot on your own Hyperliquid account through Keel. You can paper trade it first on live prices with no money at risk. When it runs live, your money stays in your account, and Keel can place trades there but can never withdraw.

Can I backtest my own XRP strategy?

Yes. Build a strategy in Keel, from scratch or by forking one of these, and backtest it on XRP with the same data and costs used here: fees, slippage and funding. The free plan includes 50 backtests a week.

Does the XRP buy Monday, sell Thursday strategy work?

We haven't published a backtest of it yet. It is a calendar rule, and day and time filters are coming soon to Keel. Until then, the XRP strategies we did test, with their full results net of fees, slippage and funding, are on this page.
