The rotation screener finds Hyperliquid perpetuals that have just moved up in their cohort’s ranking — the freshest leaders, not the most-extended names. Combines rank change, rate-of-change, and relative volume to filter out late moves and surface inflection points.
The Fresh Leaders screen targets crypto rotation — capital moving out of one cohort of names and into another. X-axis: rank change — how many cohort positions an asset has moved up in the most recent window. A top-quartile rank change means the asset has jumped meaningfully in standing, not just continued its existing position. Y-axis: ROC at the 75th+ percentile — a confirmation that the rank improvement is being driven by real price move, not other names falling. Z-axis: relative volume at the 50th+ percentile — gates against low-volume rank shifts that often revert. The output is the cohort of HL perpetuals where money has moved in over the recent window, before the names extend into the late-momentum group. Rotation tends to play out over 1-3 days on the 4h timeframe; on 1D, over weeks. The Constructor lets you change both live.
The screen below is pre-loaded with the Fresh Leaders preset. Adjust signals, thresholds, and timeframe inline — your changes update the cohort in real time. Share or backtest the resulting state directly from the toolbar.
Keel is a Strategy OS for AI-assisted systematic trading on Hyperliquid. Backtest a strategy that uses the Fresh Leaders signals as entry filters, optimize parameters across thousands of variants, then deploy live with funding-aware execution and full risk controls.

Rotation is the movement of speculative capital from one set of assets to another — out of names that have run, into names just starting to move. It matters because the best risk/reward in crypto is usually at the inflection, not at the extension. Catching rotation early means buying before the move is obvious.
Raw ROC tells you who has moved the most. Rank change tells you who has moved the most relative to peers. Late-stage leaders may have huge ROC but no rank improvement — they’re already at the top. Early leaders have rising rank, even if absolute ROC is moderate. Rank change is the inflection signal.
4h catches rotations that play out over 1-3 days — the most actionable window for active strategies. 1h is faster, noisier, more suitable for short-horizon trades. 1D is for swing-style multi-week rotations. Switch live in the Constructor.
Market data refreshes hourly. The screen recomputes percentile rankings, thresholds, and qualifying cohorts on each refresh. Funding rates update on the same hourly cadence as Hyperliquid’s native funding settlement.
Rotation screens pair naturally with long/short setups: long the fresh leaders, short the fading names (the cohort dropping off in rank). Long-only works too, but the short side adds market-neutral protection in choppy regimes. Keel’s backtest engine supports both — try each on historical data first.
Yes. Open the screen, click "Backtest in Keel," and the current state — signals, thresholds, universe, timeframe — passes into a Keel workspace. From there, you can run a full backtest with realistic fees, slippage, and funding modeled, then optimize and deploy live.
